MAE Films is . . . a collaboration of DV artists Michael Poindexter, Aaron Mayberry and Erick Donaldson. The original goal of this team was to make interesting films on a very limited budget and creative resources. Since their first film "Forgotten Winter," MAE Films has expanded to include work on commercials, web videos, wedding videography and everything in between.
It is the desire of MAE Films to work with clients who are interested in a creative passion, and to satisfy the needs and vision of the project.
Michael Poindexter Mike (Dexter) co-produced, co-edited and is the lead actor in Forgotten Winter. Mike has had a camcorder in his hands ever since he was in Grade School. Actor, Director, Camera Operator, AV Editor, Artist, and as a video photographer for weddings. For last five years he has also worked as a speech pathologist, but he will tell you he definitely enjoys his time with art more. Mike has also been featured in several independent films as well as an extra in the movie The Break Up, with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston.
Aaron Mayberry Aaron co-produced, co-edited, and was the head cinematographer on Forgotten Winter. He graduated from Full Sail Film School in early 2005. Since then he has worked as everything from production assistant to director. The bulk of his work goes into corporate video and commercials, but he greatly enjoys working on independent shorts. Since 2006 he has worked full time in the production industry and isn't stopping anytime soon. He currently works in Detroit as an editor and production audio mixer.
Erick Donaldson
Erick wrote, directed, co-produced, co-edited, and acted as cinematographer on "Forgotten Winter." He is a designer in the field of entertainment architecture, and has worked as a production director for some of Michigan's largest outdoor haunted attractions. Forgotten Winter is Erick’s first film and he plans on continuing to direct and write films. Born and raised in Goodrich, Michigan, Erick is raising his son Cameron with wife Kristyn and currently resides in Burton, Michigan.
